What is Top Cap & Double Trim?

Top Cap:

 

You can choose either 2x6 or 2x8 cedar top cap. The board creates a flat top on your fence. Adding top cap as an upgrade not only adds a finished look to your fence, but also adds stability and strength by "locking in" the fence. A 2x6 top cap adds a cap to the front/picket side of the fence. A 2x8 adds a cap to both the front/picket, and back/post side of the fence, capping the posts.

 

Double Trim:

 

By adding either the 2x6 or 2x8 cedaar top cap as an option to your fence, Nortex includes free double trim. Double trim is a layered cedar 1x4 and 1x2 applied to the top of the face of the fence, under the top cap. This creates a 3 tiered, "crown moulding" look to your fence. Adding decorative options when purchasing your new fence gives it a beautiful custom look.
